Hotel Spa Aguas de los Mallos is deeply committed to sustainable tourism and is very ecological, being self-sufficient in energy with 36 geothermal wells, air pumps for heating/air conditioning, a biomass boiler and solar panels.
Its outdoor heated pool, which is like a bath, or its spa are a most for tired legs after a days hiking and are both heated using biomass boilers and geothermal heating.

100% renewable energy
A sustainable four-star spa hotel that generates all its own energy on site through geothermal, aerothermal, biomass and solar, deeply rooted in the natural landscape of the Mallos de Riglos.
Biomass boiler
Used for hot water for domestic use, underfloor heating and the indoor and outdoor spa pools. It is fuelled by straw bales produced as agricultural waste from nearby cereal fields.
Solar energy
A photovoltaic solar field of 306 panels generates approximately 100 kW/hour, providing all of the hotel’s electrical energy needs through renewable power.
Geothermal energy
During construction, 36 vertical boreholes were drilled to a depth of 120 metres, allowing the hotel to harness geothermal energy for ecological heating and cooling through underfloor heating systems.
Aerothermal heat pumps
Heat pumps extract renewable energy from the outside air to generate heating or cooling when required, supporting peak demand in shared areas while maintaining high energy efficiency.

Bar & Restaurant
Excellent hotel restaurant serving breakfasts and evening meals. Bar area either on the terrace or in the gardens. Cuisine based on local produce and seasonal flavours.
Outdoor pool & solarium
Outdoor swimming pool with sun terrace. Gardens and quiet corners to sit and enjoy the surroundings. One of the best viewpoints in the area, especially at sunset.

Free wi-fi is available throughout the hotel, lift access and rooms adapted for reduced mobility, luggage storage and laundry service (on request).
Room types
Our holidays are based on Standard Double Rooms, which offer comfortable accommodation and, in most cases, a private terrace. We do not use the Double Window rooms for our trips.
If you would like a little more space or added comfort, it’s possible to upgrade to a room with pool views, a Suite or a Duplex Suite, subject to availability. Just drop us an email and we’ll be happy to arrange this for you.
Single travellers are allocated the same spacious room as a double, but for sole use.
