Hotel to hotel walking along the length of the Valle de Tena, staying at different villages during the week. We transport your luggage each day meaning you just have to walk with a small daypack.
A wonderful route with fantastic views throughout the week and a real sense of journey as you head up the valley. You’ll stay at small traditional Pyrenean villages with narrow winding streets and stone houses centred around medieval churches.
We are also offering this route as a guided walking holiday.
The walks cover a reasonable distance with 10km to 14km walked each day. However the routes are on good paths and ascents are not steep (apart from the optional longer routes and side trips).
The itinerary has plenty of flexibility with several days offering two walking options. With two days spent at both Panticosa and Sallent de Gallego you also have the option of taking a rest day.
For those that like long days two of the days have longer options that cover 19km and get into steep high mountain terrain.
Detailed route cards are provided for each day which include descriptions of all the side trips and options. One the first evening or morning you’ll have a briefing to talk you through the routes, options and weather and during the week we are always available on the phone.
Hotels are superb throughout the week, in particular the hotels in Sallent de Gallego and Sandinies are full of character.
