Pyrenees snowshoing holidays
Snowshoeing holidays and new travel rules

Happy New Year to all of our friends and readers! Yesterday, the three kings visited every child in Spain and the Christmas celebrations here are finally coming to an end.

The New Year bought good news for British holidaymakers, with a relaxing of travel rules announced. Travellers no longer need to take a test to return to the UK, and from Sunday, instead of needing to take a PCR test on return to the UK, they only need to take a lateral flow test which is much cheaper.

If you fancy getting out into the mountains, why not try one of our snowshoeing holidays? We’ve two trips running this winter, the 29 January – 5 February and the 5-12 March. Both trips are guaranteed to run. With our flexible booking conditions, no deposit is required, the balance isn’t due until two weeks before the trip and if for any COVID reason you can’t travel or the trip needs to be cancelled we’ll provide a full refund.

Snowshoeing is a great way to discover the beauty of the mountains in winter. No experience is required, snowshoes are provided and all you need is a reasonable level of fitness and a sense of adventure! The holiday is based at Hotel Almud in the beautiful village of Sallent de Gallego which is nestled under the high peaks.  If you’d like more information just drop Phil an email at info@hikepyrenees.co.uk

If you prefer the sunshine to the snow, our summer holiday dates are on the website. Although currently, with Omicron surging throughout most countries, summer travel seems a long way off, we’re very hopeful that in a similar way to last year things will get back under control over the next month or two. Again, for our summer holidays, no deposit is required and we are offering very flexible booking conditions so why not book a trip and give yourself something to look forward to.
