Workshop on animal tracks
There’s a workshop and excurison on identifying animal tracks, birds nests, feathers and lots of other interesting stuff this Wednesday at 6pm in Riglos – you need to call and put your name on.
It’s a beautiful area with beautiful high red conglomerate cliffs and a wealth of wildlife including a huge colony of griffin vultures. With the Rio Gallego flowing under the cliffs water birds are also common and I’ve seen kingfishers and herons here lots of times.

A wonderful June week on our Discover Ordesa holiday, walking through Ordesa National Park, Bujaruelo, Aínsa and the Sobrarbe region, with canyons, vultures, flowers, viewpoints and plenty of mountain memories.
Often we travel far away seeking new adventures, cultures and landscapes. However, occasionally, these things are much closer to us than we think they are. Our adventure in the Catalan Pyrenees at the beginning of June was one of these cases. Read David’s trip report of the trip.
We had some great early season weather on our Valle de Tena Explorer trip last week. It’s always a delight to welcome people to our home village of Biescas. The wildflowers are simply stunning this season and at this time of year we’ve the trails to ourselves and the mountain tops are still white with snow.
