The Charles Rennie Mackintosh trail

Charles Rennie Mackintosh trail

A new interprative trail has opened in the eastern French Pyrenees celebrating the watercolours of the Scottish architect/artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The trail features 30 reproductions of Mackintosh’s work placed where he painted them from allowing you to see the painting and the real life landscape alongside each other.

Mackintosh moved to Port Vendres on the Mediterranean coast in 1923 where he developed his style and painting many landscapes. Visit the trails website for more information.
