Ladys Slipper orchid – Cypripedium calceolus
This is the largest Orchid in Spain. It can take 8 to 10 years to mature and live up to 30 or even 40 years. This cluster is one of only 3 populations left in the Pyrenees and is a ‘must see’ when in flower.
Staying at Candanchu in mid July ,am I anywhere near a Lady slipper site ?
