Alpine butterwort- Pinguicula alpina

This version of butterwort is native to cold climates and is found amongst other places in Iceland and the Himalaya. Here in the Pyrenees we’ve only seen this white flowering Alpine butterwort twice, both times on the Faja Pelay. The plant attracts and breaks down insects in the same way as the purple flowering butterworts.
