Bears ear – Oreja de Oso – Ramonda Myconi

The ramonda although looking very similar to an Affrican Violet is endemic to the Pyrenees. It grows on rocky out crops and boulders in partial shade. The leaves of this plant are fuzzy and shaped similarly to a bears ear The Spanish call it ‘Oreja fr Oso’ which translates as ‘Bears ear’ .
