Hike Pyrenees Walking Holidays

Pyrenees Butterfly Gallery

The abundance of wild flowers in the Pyrenees means there’s an abundance of butterflies too. Late August and September are particularly good months for butterflies and the meadows around Punta del Pacino have huge numbers and variety - last year we regularly saw Swallowtails right on the peak of this mountain. Tricky to photograph this gallery shows just some of what we’ve seen - other species we see are Peacocks, Camberwell Beauty’s, Comma’s, Orange Tips, Graylings and Ringlets. All photos taken on our walking holidays in the Spanish Pyrenees.
