In this edition of Hike Pyrenees News we take a look at the Valle de Tena and some of the superb walking that's on offer there. We visit the monastery of San Juan de la Peņa and our interactive map shows you the highlights of the Aragonese Pyrenees.
With spectacular high cliffs, wide open meadows and a clutch of peaks over 3000m the Valle de Tena has a huge variety of walking. Discover some of our favourite spots such as Punta del Pacino with panoramic views across the valley or the Ibon de Piedrafita, that's surrounded by high cliffs that are the home to griffon vultures.

Built in the tenth century under an overhanging cliff, lying on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route and linked to legends of the Holy Grail, the monastery complex of San Juan de la Peņa is one of the most famous in Northern Spain. We visit the monastery and its beautiful woodland surroundings and show you what's on offer to visitors.
