Although it is located close to Panticosa ski resort, the Asnos lake is a proper and beautiful natural high mountain lake with no dam. The route includes a long and steep ascent, but without much technical difficulty. The way down has a very funny and more technical section on a path that goes inside the forest, and through different narrow vegetation tunnels.
It is better to wait late spring (end of May, beginning of June) to undertake this route, unless you don’t mind to cycle on snow in the highest part of the itinerary.
